Isle of Mull Rally

It all began in 1968 during a holiday on the island, the idea was born.  The then chairman of the Mullard Motor Cycle and Car Club in Blackburn got the support of his committee, especially as locally held events were having PR issues, after intense marketing & promotion on the island the 1st rally occurred in 1969. The 1 night event grew over the years in both participation and distance from 57 starters to up to 150, added forestry sections and throughout Friday evening until Sunday morning.

2022 saw the return of the start on main street through the more residential areas of upper Tobermory.

2022 is the rally’s 50th year and goes from strength to strength with the majority of islanders(if they’re not competing) out in all weathers to cheer the drivers on!

Don’t worry if you’ve booked a holiday during the rally there’s still plenty of places to explain and avoid the motorsport.
